Why this exists
SeniorNest was started by someone who kept meeting families with nowhere to put their parents, and then went and did something about it.
The gap
Private assisted living in Northern Virginia runs $6,000 to $12,000 a month. Medicaid covers people below a certain income. In between sits a large group of older adults who earn too much to qualify and nowhere near enough to pay. There is no product for them. That is the gap SeniorNest works in.
Who runs it
Marie Dominique Saint Louis Tervene is the founder. She spent more than two decades as a federal senior executive, is a licensed realtor and a senior-relocation specialist, and owns and operates the residential homes through Bright Path Senior Care Homes. The homes came first. SeniorNest is what happened when there were more families calling than beds to put them in.

How it works, structurally
Bright Path Senior Care Homes operates the licensed residential homes directly. SeniorNest is the wider network: vetted homeowners across the county who have a spare room and want it to do something useful. Both run on the same signed stay agreement, and both are operated by 3MA, LLC.
What we are not
We are a housing service, not a care provider. We do not offer skilled nursing, medication management or clinical supervision, and we do not claim any certification we do not hold. If someone needs medical care, we will say so on the first call rather than at the door.
